As the company is expanding, we are seeking a self-motivated, organised and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our growing team based at our head office in Plymouth.
The position of the Warehouse Operative is responsible for stock control. The role involves taking delivery and unloading of goods, picking, packing and despatching orders and assisting with stocktaking of stores products.
The successful candidate will ensure the warehouse facility is organised to a high standard whilst observing safety at all times. You will need the ability to maintain records of items stored and manage the distribution of deliveries to customers with relevant tracking information. There will be a requirement to highlight any shortages and quality issues to the Warehouse Manager. You will also be required to undertake the packing and despatching of goods to return to suppliers.
Experience of a similar warehousing role with goods in experience is essential. Counterbalance Forklift Licence and Electric Pallet Truck Licence are essential. Familiarity with computerised inventory systems and reporting along with an aptitude for stock control would be advantageous. Completion of manual handling qualification, IOSH Working Safely or similar and CoSHH would also be beneficial.
Excellent attention to detail, good literacy and numeracy skills, ability to work under pressure, a consistently ‘right first time’ work ethic, flexible in approach and the ability to meet deadlines are essential in this role.
