Join an expanding product management team within our growing business, which is one of the biggest and most respected national online eCommerce successes in our industry. Construction Materials Online is an online supplier of building materials, sold across three specialist eCommerce stores. As the company is expanding, we are seeking a proactive, experienced inventory administrator to join us at our head office in Plymouth.
A permanent position working as part of a supportive team, you will have a commercial mindset, with experience & understanding of eCommerce systems. Your role will mean that you will personally be contributing to drive both our own and our customers’ businesses.
We’re offering an annual salary of £17,500, the opportunity to gain experience working for a national company, company bonus scheme, company pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement.
Role & key responsibilities
Responsible for listing new products and updating existing inventory for our eCommerce websites, optimising listings for search engines and helping customers to make a purchase.
• Time & Workload Management
o Responsible for ownership of tasks, with planning of time and workload to meet productivity targets
o Effective use of collaborative tools to carry out the role and support the wider team
• Inventory Management
o Accountable for accurate quality of product data within the database, for both internal and external system users, based on advised best practice
o Accountable for the integrity of product data and its ability to meet Google Product Feed requirements
o Ensure that products are correctly categorised, positioned and promoted to maximise sales potential
o Work alongside the Buying and Marketing teams to support existing product sales, new product ranges and extended range opportunities
o Planning for re-pricing and reworks
- At least 1 years’ experience of product creation in an online environment
- Experienced user of at least one eCommerce content management system
- Experienced user of Microsoft programmes (Excel/Word)
- Basic Adobe photoshop skills preferred
- Excellent communication with good content writing skills for the effective merchandising of products and product categories online
- Excellent knowledge of optimising product and category listings for search engines
- A proactive approach to managing workload with the ability to multitask
